I really like your syntax plugin and all the improvements you've made; I think this should ship with Vim, as JSON now is fairly common. For Bram to accept this, the request (and commitment to maintain) must come from the plugin's author. Please consider doing so!

The inadequacy of using JavaScript syntax has recently been raised here.

Thanks for your kind comments & suggestion @inkarkat. I would indeed be interested in requesting Bram & committing to maintaining this but I'm currently travelling in Europe on a very tight schedule and this is why I haven't even been able to fix the recent issues raised. When I'm back home (in about a week), I'll be happy to follow through with this and apply ;)

Hey @c4milo, I submitted in the same Google Groups thread where this plugin was first mentioned. I backed down though when the discussion turned to disabling the concealing part of the plugin... to my mind it's an integral part of what I'm doing here.

@elzr that's unfortunate, I think having concealing disabled by default makes sense as it may confuse Vim newcomers. I myself got confused at first.
