I also have this problem. The first time the problem occurred was when I selected the code then open noteHighlight and chose to cancel the line number. After that, It happen when I open highlight.

This happened to me today. Win7 x64 + sp2 + Office360 bundle

It's worked fine for weeks. Today I made the mistake of closing a NoteHighlight Python code dialogue box with a missing parenthesis ) and the program immediately crashed. Now I get the "COM Surrogate has stopped working" error every OneNote startup.

I have to inactivate or uninstall the module to fix OneNote. Un/Reinstalling or repairing this program using the .msi installer file doesn't seem to resolve the issue.

same here, Win 7 x64, OneNote2016 64-bit. I got "Com Surrogate has stropped working" error every time when I try to click a NoteHighlight language icon. Please help, thank you.
