Other notification methods?

I think I've finally got rebuild-dndc working in Unraid (it seemed to fail to rebuild containers if they were linked in to the master container via the Alternate steps method, I'd get the /usr/bin/docker: Error response from daemon: Container cannot be connected to network endpoints error in the log), but I wonder if there's a way to use another medium for notifications of rebuild events, like Telegram bots or integrating with Unraid's system notifications via a script like this example?
