how to use fontawsome 6 instead of builtin fontawsome 5

Machina has a gulf-based system that builds and deploys fontawsome 5. My website uses fontawsome 6.4 and does not really need two sets of fonts. How can I stop Machina from deploying fontawsome 5 fonts and use fontawsome 6 instead?
