ctrl-u should only clear backwards, no in both directions

This is caused due to @overmighty's simple dismissal of long kept *nix traditions in #1, which they seem to easily disregard, with no respect for any other users, whatsoever.

Furthermore, this will make a great addition to my 4 PRs next hacktoberfest.
