Custom profile fields, placement in profile page

In the profile page, custom profile fields are displayed only in the "Extra Details" section, it would be useful to be able to place the fields in different boxes (User info, profile, etc.).

Okay, I tried to cheat the system for a while, but in the end, I think that one more column in the db is not such a huge deal. My current idea is to add a new column "profile_placement" varchar(15) and use it to define in which block the field will be displayed. The only partial issue, is that the "placement" column already tries to do something in this respect, but it's just a partial solution and it doesn't solve many of the problems. I'll try to keep consistent what is already in placement with the new setting, it shouldn't be too difficult.

I'm tempted to say that unless there is some specific needs, this should go to 2.0.
