SimpleAds as core feature

It may be an idea to add SimpleAds as a core feature, disabled by default, but its a very good mod and would help stop a lot of manual template edits / mod installs.

Of course - depends on if Sinan is game to let it in?

I am happy that this has even been considered. You can use all the code from SimpleAds in Elkarte however you like it.

It's good to hear from you. Hope you're well.

My reasoning is:

  1. A large percentage of forums have adverts, and the modern web is funded to a degree from them.
  2. Adverts are often added by those who struggle to edit templates but may require adverts for funding.
  3. It's a fully functional and pretty hardy mod. High quality interface. Seems well thought out.
  4. It's quite a big new feature - also it's already written and well tested.

That could actually be rather nice addition to 2.0. Actually, if I'll be able to push enough to have SP in the core as well, the two may work together I guess. :innocent:
