Investigate better options for bg_exec()

In order to close https://github.com/elkarbackup/elkarbackup/issues/646 and support that use-case, https://github.com/elkarbackup/elkarbackup/pull/648 got merged.

As a TODO for later:

  • [ ] Investigate if there's a better way of supporting longer-running scripts
  • [ ] Implement if found.
