Description

In this talk I will outline the privacy and security concept of an application I am building with Elixir.

We fast-tracked one agile development cycle to get from 0 to the first release with the first real user in less than 6 weeks, without compromising on the pricacy of the data that is entrusted to us.

• Architecting for privacy first
• Do not drink the koolaid and build yourself
• Using Phoenix Umbrella applications to start fast and gradually improve upon security concerns
• Build a solid Key Management System (KMS)
• Implementing best practice cryptography with Erlang crypto
• Developing and testing application code alongside the KMS

My head is full, and I am ready to spill some of my learnings in a fast paced 40 minutes talk.
