Controller Issues (Nintendo switch pro controller)

I've been trying to get my pro controller to work with silent hill 2 EE but really to no avail, this is using wireless as if I try wired it sometimes bugs out every button is in a state of auto pressing.

I've tried to play with BetterJoyForCemu as that's what I always do for using a controller with games not on steam, but it didn't work, I'd have liked to get this working as it's just the more sensible option to me. I've looked up fixes for controller issues and I've tried out some of the fixes like disconnecting my mouse and keyboard but they haven't worked.

I did try using the controller (wirelessly) without BetterJoyForCemu and that did somewhat work as the dpad and some face buttons work but they're a bit mixed around and some aren't bound, I've tried to rebind the buttons but this doesn't work as I can get rid of the binding so the game has "???" waiting for a new input but when I press the buttons they don't do anything.

This could be an issue with silent hill2 pc detecting the first input device, but I saw a thread where someone passed this onto the developers, but it looks like that hasn't been fixed unfortunately. I know the people on the project must be sick of people asking about controller issues but I've tried for about an hour or so now so I apologise but I must ask. (I'll keep trying different things to see if it works and will update this If I do find anything)
