qt_mpl_bars.py update for pyqt5

Hi,

I changed the code in qt_mpl_bars.py to be compatible with pyqt5. Would you be able to merge it if I send you a pull request?

Would the code be backwards compatible to older versions of PyQt too?

A PR can't hurt. I don't know whether I'll merge it if the changes are large, because there's no way for me to test this now. But I can point people to the PR if they ask about qt5 support. Thanks
