export PDF with highlights

Is there a way to export the annotated PDF with highlights as seen in the viewer? The print button doesn't export the highlights.

Not at the moment. There are some open hypothes.is issues regarding this (such as https://github.com/hypothesis/product-backlog/issues/21), but I don't expect that the feature will be added in the near future.

I may attempt to write my own script for exporting pdfs with the annotations included some time in the future, but no promises.

Thanks for the reply. I want to share the annotations in context without depending on Obsidian + annotator plugin.

It would be very much possible to use hypothes.is for that, but I suppose that there is no way to get the annotations from .md to the hypothes.is, right? Just a "share" command for this would be a very nice feature.

The plugin is perfect. I'm sending a beer / coffee!

I'll definitely add the ability to upload annotations to hypothes.is in the future. It should be relatively easy to do, and would give you a way to share the annotations with people.
