Allow the default wiki links behavior in annotations

Open bevsxyz opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

The default behavior for wiki links in obsidian is to follow. In the annotations, [[link-to-some-markdown]] is rendered as plain text.

Using markdown links gives me the following:

Are you sure you want to open this link? app://obsidian.md/link-to-some-markdown

Which gives me a cannot find the correct app error.

+1 Having the default wikilinks behaviour in annotations would be a really useful feature

I've released a new beta version now (0.2.0) that should enable you to use wikilinks (and any other obsidian syntax) in the sidebar. You can upgrade to 0.2.0 using BRAT.

Thank you very much for this! I upgraded to version 0.2.0 now. Sadly the links seem not to be working.

They do render in preview, like this: Skjermbilde 2022-02-06 kl 11 06 41 and all other obsidian syntax that I tested (except for latex math) also renders. And embedding a link seems to actually work, which is great!

The first time I clicked the link a popop window asking me if it should open the URI to the note appeared. I checked the box for always open links of this type, and chose continue in the popup. Then nothing happened.

Subsequent times when clicking links the popup does not appear, and the note linked to does not open either.

The output in the developer console when opening the annotation document is this: Skjermbilde 2022-02-06 kl 11 07 54

when I click the link nothing happens in the developer console.

the output to the developer console when I open a document to a different pdf, without any annotations yet, seems to give about the same output to the deeveloper console.

Skjermbilde 2022-02-06 kl 11 51 52

when I expand the red field in the output it looks like this: Skjermbilde 2022-02-06 kl 11 52 54

as a side note: having autocomplete for links in preview mode, like one has in normal notes, would be a veery nice addition to default wiki links behaviour in annotations.

Let me know if there is anything in particular you need me to test to fix this issue. If you could get this to work it would really make a difference in my obsidian workflow.
