No network profile switch [$40]

I have some diferents profiles to ethernet network, but I can not switch to any of this profiles.

Example: Profile1: dhcp and no route to internet. Profile2: static IP. Profile3: dhcp with internet routes.

I want to connect my ethernet port and select the profile I want to use, but this option is not avaiable on network indicator or even in network configuration panel (where you setup this profiles).

Given a bit of help I could try to fix this. In theory it shouldn't need much more love than using the same mechanisms as the wifi selector does, right?

Same issue here, the lack of support for ethernet profiles, hidden WiFi networks or bluetooth tethering is a daily handicap.

This issue is super important in my opinion and really a hassle in my daily work. I hope it is being considered.

elementary freya used to have this and used it extensively. I Have been making due on loki, but am starting to really miss this feature. I've posted a 40USD bounty on this issue to spur some interest.
