Video unable to just exist: Freeze immediately after showing up, sound still playing

What Happened?

Opening Videos just results in it immediately freezing and shortly after Gala to display the infamous "not responding" dialog If directly from starting a video file, the first few frames appear, and the sound plays normally in the background until killed, but everything else is frozen.

may have to do with an update, as this behaviour did not exist a few days ago

Steps to Reproduce

Open it.

Expected Behavior

Videos shows up, not immediately freezing

8.x (Early Access)

Session Type

Secure Session (Wayland)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

When running in Terminal (flatpak run io.elementary.Videos, as there is no wrapper)

I can confirm this error. I'm having the same problem. Other players like Celluloid work perfectly.
