Do Not Disturb portal

Problem

There are some times when it would be convenient to temporarily set do not disturb while a certain activity is occurring such as during a presentation or for the duration of a calendar event, but apps that have this information have no way to communicate to the system that they would like to set do not disturb.

Proposal

A do not disturb portal where apps can request or suggest do not disturb with a reason and a time period

iOS offers a do not disturb suggestion for certain calendar events. Such as:
