Photos fails to open files without extensions (format not supported)
On Photos 0.1.2 under Freya:
When trying to open files without extensions (e.g .jpg), Photos fails to open them with the error message "Photos does not support the format of ". I have replicated this by simply deleting the extension of a file Photos could open correctly prior to that.
This happens even though the thumbnailer creates correct thumbnails, and clicking on the file properties shows the correct file type, which indicates to me that the MIME type of the file is being correctly recognized. This to me indicates that Photos is not using the MIME type of the file, and is using only the extension instead.
Support for checking the MIME type of the file would be a nice addition to Photos.
