"remove the installation medium and reboot" hangs forever

I don't know if this is an issue with the installer or if it is just me not knowing how to reboot after a successful installation of EOS. Literally, every time I install EOS and the installation is successful and I get to that black screen that tells me to remove the USB stick and reboot, it doesn't ever reboot. I'd remove the stick and hit enter plenty of times and it just sits there like I didn't press anything. I have tried to get into a TTY session and that gets me nowhere but another empty black screen. Every time, I have to force shutdown my laptop. Again, I don't know if this is an issue or if it is just me. I can reproduce it as many times as you ask. Thank you

I can confirm this with the latest stable hera ISO. Since this repo is for the new installer (which isn't used in Hera), I'm transferring it to the OS repo.
