Pride flag variants for cursors
Problem
I’m not sure how technically difficult this would be, but some folks on mastodon expressed interest in pride flag themed wait cursors
Proposal
I think there’s a separate cursor theme setting so theoretically we could generate additional pride flag themes? Could be a cute Easter egg to have a setting that only shows up during pride month haha

One more step for the distro to be declared extremist in Russia, haha. Actually, I wonder if the plan is to go the typical corporate route and only show them in "allowed" countries, where this topic will be accepted with relatively low controversy?
@1280px Officially the only prohibited flag is the 6 colored pride flag (you can read the full ruling of the Supreme Court here). All the other pride flags are not considerd "extremism" symbols And even if they were I don't think a colored circle could be considered a flag.
@lenemter these details never really stopped them though, you can look up some cases linked to this banned organization (which, in fact, doesn't even exist) if you're not aware.
Anyway, if you think my point is "they shouldn't add this feature because in some countries it is semilegal" or "they should only show it in places where it will spark no controversy", then, no — the latter, actually, is what my question about:

The only "criminal case" not affiliated with the 6 colored pride flag is this one with transgender flag. I don't think they really care about other pride flags tbh

MacOS wheel cursor uses the 6 pride colors and no one seems to see this as a controversy. As for the other flags, I think we can just not name them for the sexual/gender minorities? I really love how Valorant deals with this -- they name trans flag as "cotton candy", nonbinary flag as "galactic", bi as "sunset", etc.
If some people recognize cursors as pride flags and see them as a "controversy" it's on them, and it doesn't matter where they're from, homophobic people exist all over the world
