Wake from Sleep

This may be specific to my laptop only, but I have noticed that when waking from sleep, there is a black screen, then it shows my desktop, then another black screen, then the Greeter comes up. This takes about 3 seconds total.

I also have issues with the Pantheon greeter, including the Xubuntu version of LightDM after installing the xubuntu-desktop package, trying to fix a few things such as suspend, wake, and unlock, to see if it would change things; it doesn't. I'm using a MacBook Pro 2014 with an external monitor and Elementary OS doesn't seem to carry over screen settings to the login manager (greeter). I also have to lift my lid on my MacBook to unlock my computer rather than the greeter screen show up on my external monitor.

I also have a similar issue on Fedora 25. Sometimes it's a black screen, sometimes the greeter hangs and does not respond to key presses.

I was able to resolve my issue by installing xscreensaver and letting it handle all of that instead of LightDM.
