Lock screen appears when trying to suspend

Open marcelorocha876 opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

When I press suspend, the computer just stays on the lock screen. Supposedly if I pressed suspend the computer would be suspended without consuming so much power, but no, the computer is as if I had pressed the "lock" button. So when I just want to close the lid to continue my work later, and the computer doesn't run out of battery power, I always have to turn off the computer.

Also, I can't change the background of my lock screen. I have already followed some tips I found on the internet, but all without result.

This might be hardware-specific; could you share as much detail as possible about your hardware setup, i.e. computer model, graphics card, etc?

Also, I can't change the background of my lock screen. I have already followed some tips I found on the internet, but all without result.

That's completely unrelated, please don't mix issues as it makes it harder to stay focused and address each one. It's a duplicate of #330.

I have the same issue, although not 100% of the time. Sometimes (in minority of times) my PC suspends as it should. Most of the time however, after suspend, it seems that it goes to suspend mode for about a second (not sure), and then lock screen appears.

My PC is Intel NUC7i5BNK

I'll share any more infrmation that could help. I just need to know what you need (some logs?) :)

Btw, I think it would be a good idea to change the title of this issue. Currently, it's too general. Something like "Lock screen appears when comanding to suspend" would probably be much better.
