x11: hot corners/edges do not seem to trigger

What Happened?

On elementaryos-8.0-daily.20240916 Hot corner does not activate - The Window manager does not detect it

Steps to Reproduce

system settings: set a hot corner to do an action move mouse to said corner nothing happens

Expected Behavior

action set for said corner activates Ex: When setting in system settings Top left for "Show Application Menu" hitting the top left corner does not open the dang menu
