Files hangs and then crashes by itself
What Happened?
After booting on 6.14.0-33 Linux kernel, Files app stopped working normally. When launched from the dock, it hangs immediately (no option even to move the window). When launched from terminal, it works normally until the point it does not.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch io.elementary.files from terminal.
Expected Behavior
Works fine until closed.

Did you try booting the older kernel afterwards? Just to be sure it has anything to do with the kernel version. I'm running the same kernel and the same session type, but I cannot reproduce this.
Not yet; I'll try it when I reboot next time, sure.
Might be worth turning off History in the Security & Privacy plug in case one of the locations you are restoring is problematic. This will stop Files restoring any previous locations and just load your home folder. I cannot reproduce this either. Note a new version (7.1.6) has just been merged and should appear in the updates soon. This fixes a bug where Files can hang on trying to show the context menu in some circumstances.
