UI is temporarily unresponsive while on large folders

When on a large folder files become temporarily unresponsive on navigating, resize and maximizing.

The video below shows this behavior.

in the video, I tried opening '/bin' which contains 2,543 files. total folder size: 247.7 Mb.

System: eOS 6 Odin Kernel: Linux 5.11.0-41-generic Ram: 8Gib SSD 1Tb NVMe CPU: Core i5-8265U No graphic card

The same doesn't happen when I use Nautilus or Dolphin on this same computer.

I think this is essentially the same as issue #1794, so I am going to mark as duplicate. I think separate issues need to be raised for each operation that is slow as the fixes may be different.
