Set location by double-clicking on the map

Open elementaryBot opened this issue 8 years ago • 4 comments

Should it be possible to set the location of an event by double-clicking on the map? I wasn't sure if the inability to do so was a bug or if I had misunderstood the purpose of the map.

Double clicking don't seems to be the way this should be implemented. If it's possible this could be done by dragging the location marker.

I would argue that double clicking (or another short-cut) on map should also be available to move the pointer, since the pointer may not be in the visible part of the map. If there is no location set then the pointer could be at some random point anyway. It would be much quicker to double click on map than zoom/scan to find pointer an then drag to desired location.

Scrolling is already available for zoom and I think is the more standard/accepted way to zoom

Be that as it may, I cannot see any downside other than a minimal amount of extra code. (this issue is about setting location, not zooming)
