Clicking on an already open App doesn't do anything on some Apps.

What Happened

Like elementary/dock#77, clicking on an already open doesn't do anything on some apps.

Relevant information:

  • elementary/gala#694

Expected Behavior

I guess that Application Menu should mimic the Dock behavior of focusing an App instead of trying to open a new instance (Dock Middle Click) and failing when the app doesn't support that feature.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Application Menu and click on Terminal
  2. Switch to a new workspace.
  3. Open the Application Menu and click on Terminal

Platform Information

elementary OS 5.1.7 Hera

It's window manager (gala) issue. Opening app doesn't switch to specific workspace. Assume your file manager is in workspace 1 and browser in workspace 2. Open in folder doesn't switch to workspace 1. Same behavior if you open app using a terminal.
