Open shawn1thompson opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

What Happened?

Trying to update OS in Appcenter or via apt fails.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Appenter
  2. Click Update for Operating System
  3. Receive notification
  4. Update stops with error and other components aren't updated
  5. Try apt update && apt upgrade -y
  6. Receive error

Expected Behavior

Update works without error and if an error occurs, update everything except that which specifically fails.

OS Version

6.x (Odin)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Log Output

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  linux-modules-nvidia-510-5.13.0-35-generic: Depends: nvidia-kernel-common-510 (<= 510.47.03-1) but 510.54-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 is to be installed

Hardware Info

I have installed kernel 5.15.31-051531-generic manaully from Ubuntu mainline to get my keyboard to work. I've tried installing the nvidia drivers 470 and 510, but that didn't help with the issue.

I've tried sudo apt-mark hold linux-modules-nvidia-510-5.13.0-35-generic, the package that seemed to be causing the problem, to no avail.
