This could also potentially work for #62, if we were able to do that before getting the Flatpak Authenticator done.

I'm going thru the Stripe documentation and I'm not sure that I can actually do this without some sort of backend to process requests (at least as I read the Stripe docs). This may be blocked without either some sort of serverless function or other backend?
