Can we close this? It's not clear what the issue means and we've recently handled a depth related issue, i.e. https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-spec/issues/1085 / https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2025-30355. cc @erikjohnston as the person who opened the original issue
