No way to close message sheet in landscape on (small?) iphone

Steps to reproduce

  1. open a message sheet while in landscape mode (or turn device with sheet open)
  2. try to close the sheet

Outcome

What did you expect?

Some way to close the sheet, perhaps by dragging down

What happened instead?

No apparent way to close the sheet, which is rendered full screen: IMG_4005
