Messages often take tens of seconds to gradually trickle in
Steps to reproduce
- Open app from push
- Observe push isn’t visible yet
- Send msg in room to answer push anyway
- Wait tens of seconds while the room timeline slowly updates to sync the missing msg(s)
- No spinner is shown
This has the same repro steps that previously caused history to vanish entirely, until @bnjbvr fixed the limited channel bug (and dup RMs)

This is still happening on build 644. (I wonder if it's because the room updates somehow get stuck behind SS building its roomlist in the bg)? I rageshaked.
