Bubbles render incrementally, animating and exposing edits & mentions

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a room
2. Watch as edited messages first show their original contents, and then animate to show their edited form
3. Similarly, watch as mention pills transition from showing a raw mxid to a displayname + avatar.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Edited messages should be rendered in their final form when viewing a room where edits have already happened. Live edits obviously should obviously update the timeline as they arrive, but historical edits should never leak the unedited contents while rendering the timeline.

What happened instead?

Sometimes you see the original message on opening a room, which then animates into the edited message - despite the edit having happened a while back.
