Redactions don’t local echo

Steps to reproduce

  1. Remove a msg
  2. Nothing happens; no feedback at all
  3. Remove it a few more times
  4. Suddenly it disappears

Outcome

What did you expect?

instant local echo feedback of the redaction on top of the original msg, with a send report to show when it’s sent or failed.

What happened instead?

zero feedback, zero local echo.

still the case on 691

still true on 788 with event cache on.

still true on 920. it's particularly bad if on bad data and you have a queue of sent msgs, as you have to wait forever for the redaction echo to kick in

And still true on 1077. Can we not provide some kind of local UI to show that the redaction is trying to go through? I just sat hitting redact on an image 4 times wondering if the previous ones were getting lost.
