Android app can't connect, but PC browser works
Steps to reproduce
- Try Connect from Android
- It fails
- Try from PC (Chrome)
- It works
Error details on Android:
We couldn't reach this homeserver. Please check that you have entered the homeserver URL correctly. If the URL is correct, contact your homeserver administrator for further help. [OK]
Server logs are empty, I'm using ESS version of the server.
Additionally, in yesterday’s chat with this person, since today I see a “!” mark next to each of their messages, with the text “Encrypted by a device not verified by its owner” appearing on hover. Yesterday there were no such badges. I don’t see such badges in other chats either.

For logs you could use the Report a problem in the app's Settings menu...
How about testing your home server with the testmatrix tool and/or https://connectivity-tester.mtrnord.blog/ to see if your server is misconfigured. Typically that is a problem with your client well-known file....
@todo0123 does it work if you add https:// to the URL?
