Dm Request Automatically Creates Group on Receiver End.

Steps to reproduce

  1. If i sent friend requst to a user and he accept it, From my side it shows as dm but on friend side it shows as group. Any work around on this issue ?
  2. Click on send dm request.
  3. When receiver accept the dm request it creates group on receiver end.

Outcome

What did you expect?

The receiver should see it as dm too

What happened instead?

The receiver is seeing it as group.

Same issue here on OnePlus 8, Android 13.

Should be fixed by https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-rust-sdk/pull/5043 when the sdk will be updated in the app.

The problem doesn't seem to exists anymore as of v25.06.2, so maybe this can be closed?
