It is unlikely to make a call and not talking so the mic should always be unmute for calls.

Any update on this.
The element-desktop and element-web do this automatically. Not sure why this hasn't been implemented in mobile 🤔.
I am closing this as it seems this is by design to respect privacy.
I know it is possible to trigger the call when in pocket etc, and we don't want the whole private chatting to be heard by the other party.
I know it is a pain to tell the other party to unmute, but if my 74yrs old mom can do it, others can do it too.
