Can we avoid a last click at the end of verification process?
Your use case
What would you like to do?
Display the success of the verification as a popup at the top left
Why would you like to do it?
to smooth the new login process, this last click on "Got it" is useless and annoying
How would you like to achieve it?
see above - the remaining popup "Verify this session" is not relevant and should be replaced by a temporary success message
Have you considered any alternatives?
No response
Additional context
No response
temporary success message
That isn't really accessible, there's a chance a user would not read it quickly enough, or that their screenreader will miss it due to them interacting with their keyboard at the same time, dismissing any "live" text readout
Verification is becoming mandatory soon (for new logins) as well we'd get rid of existing unverified devices as well over time due to the rollout of excluding insecure devices.
Thus, long-term this confirmation screen is probably indeed unnecessary, as verification is a must-have (also the nominal scenario) without which you won't be able to use the app anyway. Thus, from a UX perspective it makes sense to remove it, but it is probably not that urgent to do it.
