URL previews showing with room previews disabled

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a fresh account (and do not touch account settings at all), along with a room
  2. Turn off URL previews off in room settings (state event org.matrix.room.preview_urls with disable: true)
  3. Send message with URL in it

Outcome

What did you expect?

No URL previews showing, because I never explicitly told Element to always show them and explicitly disabled them in the rooms settings. This was in the context of creating an announcement room that'd have automated messages with formatted content as summary and URLs to the full site. Having previews on that is quite ugly, so I wanted to turn them off.

Might be worth opening devtools and digging into the settings

Just to confirm, is the room encrypted or unencrypted? Mine was unencrypted. Fresh account as per your STR.
