Extremely high VRAM usage
Steps to reproduce
- Just normally using the application, but it has been up since July 25th, today is the 2nd of August.
- Nothing specific, just noticed while doing LLM work that I was all the sudden out of VRAM, so I checked nvidia-smi and found that /proc/self/exe was using 1292MiB of VRAM. When checking out what process it really was with ps, it was this:
tyler 20913 0.5 0.1 34352896 62352 ? Sl Jul25 72:38 /proc/self/exe --type=gpu-process --disable-gpu-sandbox --ozone-platform=wayland --enable-crash-reporter=1653fbc6-c770-4188-9d55-d890ad8e190d,no_channel --user-data-dir=/home/tyler/.var/app/im.riot.Riot/config/Riot --gpu-preferences=UAAAAAAAAAAgAAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABgAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAAEAAAAAAAAAAIAAAAAAAAAAgAAAAAAAAA --shared-files --field-trial-handle=3,i,3080885077030424039,5179729390839420326,262144 --enable-features=PdfUseShowSaveFilePicker,WaylandWindowDecorations,WebRTCPipeWireCapturer --disable-features=HardwareMediaKeyHandling,MediaSessionService,SpareRendererForSitePerProcess --variations-seed-version
