missing all rooms/contacts but not session

What did you expect?
Show existing contacts/rooms.
What happened instead?
Existing/previous session loads with no contacts/rooms, and I can (re)add ones but all old ones have been deleted/lost (despite still existing). This has happened a couple times in last year or two.
Operating system
Slackware GNU/Linux 15 (64-bit, up-to-date)

Instructions would help everyone in future. I rejoined most rooms (but can't find one) and saw false message I left rooms in October, but I didn't even use Matrix in October nor the other times this happened: I came back and was gone from everything. rageshake.tar.gz
