Element Call should remember the state of the camera.
Your use case
What would you like to do?
I'd like element call to remember that I turned off my camera and not default to it being on every time.
Why would you like to do it?
Because I usually don't use my camera.
Have you considered any alternatives?

This is really annoying when using element call embedded in element desktop. I have to turn off the camera every single time, when I join a room quickly without turning off my camera, everybody can see me. I think this behavior is counter-intuitive and not privacy-friendly.

Poweruser feature: If you SHIFT + click the join button / create call button you are bypassing the lobby view and starting the call with muted audio and muted video.
@fkwp That's great to know, thanks! It doesn't solve my problem 90% of the the time though. We mainly use the new element call video rooms, with those rooms this doesn't apply. :)
I think the default for the camera should be "off". Turning on the camera should be opt-in, not opt-out for privacy reasons.
