Original text does not disappear when cancelling the edit

Open phorcys420 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a chat
  2. (Send a message)
  3. Edit a message
  4. Cancel the edition
  5. The contents are still there

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expected the message contents to go away, like they do in Element desktop and in most other chat apps.

What happened instead?

The message contents stayed there, which is quite annoying when you want to send a new message right after. (see video)

Since Element X does not have this problem, I am assuming we just need to wait for it to take the place of Element.
