App Crashes On Startup: 'Element keeps stopping'
Steps to reproduce
Element crashes on Startup. I'm using the build from Google Play on version 1.4.11. This started happening a few days ago.
- Samsung Galaxy S9, running stock Android 10
- App doesn't launch from home screen nor from app drawer
- Sometimes the splash screen shows up but most of the time it doesn't
1.. Where are you starting? What can you see? Starting from the home screen of Android 10 2. What do you tap? Element app icon.

I expected the app to open

The app crashes on startup. no login or home screen. Sometimes with the splash, mostly not.

Same problem here for the past couple of days with 1.4.25 from F-Droid on Android 10 (LineageOS 17.1) on a Samsung Galaxy S4.
I ended up using the “Remove all app data” button of Android and the issue is gone for me. I still think a proper fix is needed.
