Gifs won't send with replies

Describe the bug

When replying to a message with a gif it sends the gif as a new message without the replied message attached.

To Reproduce

  1. Click on a message and press reply or swipe left to reply.
  2. Select gif to send.
  3. Send message.

Expected behavior

Gif should send with replied message attached so the person can see what I was replying to.

  • Google Pixel XL
  • LineageOS 17.1

Additional context

  • App Version: 1.1.11 from play store.
  • Homeserver: using my personal home server but it is up to date just updated it last week.
