Missing authorization dialog with self-hosted integration manager (sticker picker)

Open theCalcaholic opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug

On web, when you are using a self-hosted instance of dimension as integration manager and you are opening the sticker picker for the first time, you are presented with the following dialog:

element_bug_report0

However, this dialog is missing on Element for Android (as far as I understand the issue), resulting in an authorization error:

element_bug_report2

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Configure a self-hosted dimension instance as integrations manager
  2. try to open the sticker picker

Expected behavior Element should behave analogous to Element web

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Oneplus 7 Pro
  • OS: Android 10

Additional context

  • App version and store: 1.0.13 (Playstore)
  • Homeserver: matrix.private-cloud.network
  • I can add see and edit available widgets and sticker packs via the "Add Matrix apps" button in any room, but I can't add a widget because I "do not appear to have permission to modify widgets in this room" (might be the same authorization issue as above?)

will this ever be implemented?

I would also kindly ask if this Bug will be fixed in the near future. As it makes the feature of hosting your own integration manager pretty useless, if it's not correctly supported on one of the major client/platform.

Commenting another year later, how come that still no one seems to be interested in fixing this?
