[Data Issue]: US-SW-AZPS - nuclear data is not available

Open ghost opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

When did this happen?

Nuclear data is not published in the EIA API. Since 2019-12-05, nuclear data has been either None or 0 MW. We know that AZPS includes the generation from the nuclear power plant Palo Verde which has a capacity of 4.2 GW.

The issue has been reported to EIA and we are waiting to hear back from them.

What zones are affected?

US-SW-AZPS

What is the problem?

Power generated by Palo Verde is now only reported in the US-SW-SRP zone as well as the capacity shown in the EIA reports is only attributed to SRP. It seems like Palo Verde has been double accounted for in AZPS and SRP until 2019? I‘m curious what EIA responds.

Thank you for the extra information. It does seem like the Palo Verde production in double counted until 2019. I will investigate this :)
