Inconsistent version number

On the main page on this site it is stated that version is 7.8. However the awstats.pl script (and thus the generated pages) has

$REVISION = '20180105';
$VERSION = "7.7 (build $REVISION)";

Yeah I noticed that too. It went haywire after version 7.6. I think its because the version you have is the develop version but tag 7.7 is also out of whack. I also think its because the annual release (usually in January) was not from the develop version but a few minor alterations to the 7.7 version. The 7.8 version is afterall a development version so not all documentation may not be complete.
