Validate ajaxed input and/ or form

Hi, and thanks for this great plugin. I'm currently using jquerytools validator, it works fine but it's not up to date anymore!! I'll have few questions please: 1- is it possible to simply add "required" attribute to the input to validate it? 2- is it possible to validate an input or select field displayed through ajax after idealforms has been already called?
