Long-term Velero backup retention

Describe the solution you'd like An implementation of Velero backup retention according to the designed scheme with daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly retention cycles.

Definition of done: A test to confirm that backup retention works for all four durations (day, week, month, and year).

I don't think they fulfill the same role as what this issue is asking for. I think this issue is asking for ways to e.g. copy 1 backup per week for 1 year, not sync the whole bucket. You probably need some more specific cronjob for that.

I this still relevant? We have decided for other apps, opensearch etc that apps will not have any feature do the mentioned backup scheme.
