Error while onAutoComplete are not handled by ErrorBoundary

I am using onAutocomplete to trigger a query to fetch suggestions. If for some reason this request comes back with an error (say Fetch failed as endpoint was not responding), this error is not getting displayed in ErroBboundary. Error remains unhandled and it is logged on console as "Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Failed to fetch"
